Frederick area dermatologist reviews dermal needling

Dr Ronald B. Prussick, Washington Dermatology Center Describing Dermal Needling reviews

Thanks to continued advances in dermatology, patients now have the ability to speak to a dermatologist about a wide range of treatment options used for a myriad of skin concerns. Patients in and around the area of Frederick are welcome to contact Dr. Ron Prussick and the team at Washington Dermatology Center. They are dedicated to providing patients with the services they need to look and feel their absolute best!

Dr. Ron Prussick is proud to offer services such as dermal needling with the microneedling device. This device is used to treat several issues including stretch marks, large pores, and scarring from acne or surgeries. The microneedling device treatment is performed by a member of our skilled team of professionals. It stimulates the production of collagen and remodels the skin by piercing tiny holes into the surfaces of the skin. This device uses a “stamping” method versus other devices which use a “rolling” method which allows for ideal penetration and preservation of the epidermis. This treatment is done without the use of lasers or injectables. Most patients will experience redness of the skin but this will fade over the remainder of the day.

For best results, patients may be encouraged to book several appointments to achieve their desired results. A treatment plan may include up to five appointments, spaced four to six weeks apart. This ensures time for the skin to heal and properly stimulate collagen production between visits for optimum improvements. Patients may also want to consider implementing other treatments in-between their dermal needling appointments such as facials or microdermabrasion. Dr. Ron Prussick reviews with patients the benefits of each and develops an appropriate rejuvenation plan.

At Washington Dermatology Center, we understand that every patient has unique needs. Our team evaluates the skin and can help patients in making educated decisions about how to enhance their appearance. Whether you are concerned about acne scars or stretch marks, the staff in our practice can assist in choosing services and treatments best suited for you. Contact one of our two conveniently located practices in either Frederick or Rockville and make an appointment with our dedicated team of professionals.
