How Dysport® works

How Dysport® differs from Botox®

Although the two wrinkle reducing treatments have similar formulations and they are intended for the same outcome, Dysport® has been shown to produce results within a day or two, versus up to five. This primary difference may make Dysport® a more appealing option for those who want to experience a more youthful appearance before an important meeting or social event. Results of some studies suggest that the results from Dysport® treatment may last as long as a year, as opposed to four months.

Can Dysport® help me?

In clinical trials, Dysport® has been shown effective in men and women under the age of 65 who have mild to moderate lines and wrinkles. As a neuromodulator, the purpose of Dysport® is to relax the muscles used to make common facial expressions. Because we tend to use muscles around the eyes and on the forehead frequently, they remain taught, causing lines to form above them. If you want to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles at the outer corners of your eyes, between your brows, or on your forehead, Dysport® would likely be an effective non-surgical treatment option.
