Ronald B. Prussick, MD, FRCPC, is a Clinical
Assistant Prof.at George Washington University
with many scientific publications to his credit.
He speaks frequently at medical conferences
and served on many community and volunteer
committees, among them Chairman of the
Adverse Drug Reactions Sub-Committee,
Suburban Hospital.




 

 

Dr. Prussick has specialized training in laser treatments and psoriasis. He is a
Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and was certified by the
American Board of Dermatology in 1991.



Dr. Prussick is medical director of the Washington
Dermatology Center, a fully equipped, state-of-the-art
facility specializing in the treatment of diseases of the
skin, hair and nails. Our center is HIPAA compliant.

Dr. Prussick has been consistently voted one of the top doctors
in Washington by Washingtonian Magazine.  He has also been
repeatedly voted as one of America's Top Physicians by the
Consumers Research Council

The Washington Dermatology Center (located in N. Bethesda, Maryland and
Frederick, Maryland) under the direction of Cosmetic Dermatologist, Dr. Ronald
Prussick, offers Restylane™, Botox™, Dysport™, Juvederm™, Radiesse™
microdermabrasion, photo rejuvenation and cosmetic laser treatments for acne, wrinkles,
scars, enlarged blood vessels, sun damage and warts. The Center also provides laser
hair removal and treatment of spider veins.
The Center offers psoriasis treatment
with narrow band ultraviolet
light therapy and the Xtrac excimer laser for body,
hands and scalp.


Dr. Prussick's academic appointments include: Assistant Clinical Professor of
Dermatology, George Washington University School of Medicine; He did a fellowship
and was a clinical consultant for the Dermatology Branch of the National Cancer
Institute, National Institute of Health; Clinical Instructor, Division of Dermatology &
Pharmacology, Dept. of Medicine, University of Toronto (1992 - 1995).

Novartis, Pharmaderm and Pfizer

He has also performed clinical research for

Genentech and Smith Kline Beecham.

Dr. Prussick's Staff:

Mary Piazza Maiberger M.D .
Dr. Mary Piazza Maiberger is a native Washingtonian. She attended Princeton
University and received her Bachelors Degree in English, graduating Magna
Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She then earned her medical degree at the
Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University (MCV/VCU) in
Richmond, Virginia, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha
Honor Society. She also completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her
Dermatology Residency at MCV/VCU. During her final year of residency, she
served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Maiberger’s interest in dermatology began early during her medical training,
as she observed the signs of internal disease manifest in the skin and the
profound affect skin disease had on patient’s quality of life. She has preformed
research in skin cancer and tanning behaviors and has spoken and published
on inflammatory skin conditions at major meetings and in medical journals.

Dr. Maiberger practices general dermatology with particular interest in
acne/rosacea, skin cancer prevention, and inflammatory skin disorders. She is
a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s
Dermatologic Society. She resides in Rockville, Maryland, with her husband
and young daughter.


Meryl Elyse Gudelsky, R.N., BSN
graduated from Downstate Medical Center with a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing in 1982. She was an Operating Room nurse at Sibley Memorial
Hospital until 1993.

Meryl is a skin care specialist, presently for The Washington Dermatology
Center in N. Bethesda and previously for plastic surgery. In addition to her skin
care experience, she performs laser treatments as well as laser hair removal,
microdermabrasion, photo facials and chemical peels.

Johanna Fangmeyer, BSN
Johanna graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in nursing and
a Masters Degree in Science as a Nurse Practitioner. She specializes in
providing cosmetic treatments, such Intense Pulsed Light therapies and is a
certified expert in Botox and Restylalne as well as Sclerotherapy. She also
enjoys treating more common general dermatology areas such as acne,
warts and skin examinations.

Johanna works in our Frederick location and is available to treat patients
of all ages with dermatologic problems.
